1) National Day Parade

Date: 31st August 2019 (Saturday, from 7 am)

Venue: Dataran Putrajaya, Presint 3, 62675 Putrajaya, Malaysia

The annual parade is set to take place in Putrajaya with this year’s theme “Sayangi Malaysiaku: Malaysia Bersih”. The theme reflects the importance of patriotism and unity for the well-being of Malaysians. If your family has never been to a parade before, be prepared to be amazed by all the spectacular cultural performances, military demonstrations, colourful floats, sporting events and many more! 

2) Fireworks in The Sky – National Day

Date: 31st August 2019 (Saturday at 8 pm)

Venue: Resorts World Genting (Sky Avenue), Genting Highlands, 69000 Bentong, Pahang, Malaysia

Experience a unique National Day celebration this year, with this colourful and epic event at Sky Avenue in Resort World Genting. Witness a spectacular firework display at the peak of Genting Highlands with your family. We suggest you drive up early to avoid massive traffic and to get a nice parking spot! 

3) Kidzania National Day Celebration

Date: 31st August 2019 (Saturday from 6.30 pm)

Venue: Kidzania Kuala Lumpur

Bring your family over to Kidzania Kuala Lumpur and celebrate the National Day in your best traditional outfits! The best costume will stand a chance to win amazing prizes. Apart from that, there will also be other fun activities such as Beyblade battles, lucky draw and Explorace! Your kids are guaranteed to have a great time!

4) Royal Floria Putrajaya

Date: 31st August 2019 – 8th September 2019 (10 am – 10 pm)

Venue: Taman Botani Putrajaya, Presint 1, 2000 Putrajaya, Malaysia

The annual flower and garden festival are back and it will showcase products from the horticulture and landscaping industry on Merdeka Day till 8th September 2019. There will be over 1 million flowers on display and your family can expect a lot of beautiful florals, landscaped gardens, interesting exhibits, and most importantly an Instagram worthy selfie spots! 5) Gudang Merdeka 2019

Date: 30th August – 1st September 2019 (10 am – 12 am)

Venue: Panggung Asia, Jalan Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Take a walk down memory lane with your family at the vintage memorabilia showcase. Ranging from vintage clothes to accessories, furniture and toys, take a glimpse into all the Malaysian made product over the years and show your kids what Malaysia was like back in the day.
